Clio Chen lives in Brooklyn, New York and is currently a senior at Stuyvesant High School. This is her first year at Girls Write Now, and as a participant of its Digital Media Mentoring Program, she aims to improve her writing skills while exploring various areas and styles of writing. She is an avid creative writer and enjoys producing thought-provoking and open-minded literary pieces. She also likes to challenge herself to express her thoughts and senses about the world, especially through poetry and fiction. Her favorite book so far is Maxine Hong Kingston’s “Woman Warrior”. Besides writing, she is interested in engineering; she had received Pinkerton Science Scholar Award for conducting research at a lab in City College of New York (CCNY), during the CREST HIRES summer program of 2016.
