Skila Collins Richardson was born on September 2001, in New York City where she now loves the view of lights she gets to see everyday. Skila goes to St. Jean Baptiste High School where her favorite subjects are French and English. Her favorite hobbies are writing poetry, gymnastics, and reading. Skila recently discovered her love for books after reading Stolen: A Letter to My Captor. She enjoys writing because it helps her to explore her emotions through stories. From the age of three, Skila has been practicing gymnastics at Chelsea Piers and has since won a Regional competition for a performance. In the future, she looks forward to competing in college gymnastics and hopes to eventually write her own book.
