Khalilah Almasi Wise is part of the Digital Writing program and loves to write poems and short stories. Currently Khalilah is in the 10th grade at The Beacon School, and lives in Harlem. She is in her second year at Girls Write Now, and her favorite genres are fiction and fantasy. Her favorite books are, Me, and Earl, and the Dying girl, Remembering Raquel, Go ask Alice, Lucy in the Sky, and Every You, Every Me.

Miriam Kramer is the space reporter for Mashable.com, where she covers everything from the newest NASA discoveries about Pluto to the newest rockets bringing spacecraft to orbit and beyond. She is passionate about making science accessible to everyone, not just the select few primed to be interested in it.

Helping young women find their voices and speak their thoughts with confidence is incredibly important, so she couldn't be more excited to be a mentor with Girls Write Now. Miriam received her Master's in science journalism from NYU and originally hails from Knoxville, Tennessee.
