Ivethy De La Rosa is currently a high school senior at City College Academy of the Arts. She is originally from the Dominican Republic but moved to New York when she was nine in 2009. De La Rosa plans to attend college to pursue a career in the medical field. To work towards that she has been taking college courses at The City College of New York. Some of her favorite classes include Childhood and Infancy Psychology, Modern Dance, Intermediate Creative Writing and Portuguese. This volleyball player misses the beaches in her home country and enjoys reading poetry, fiction, and volunteering.

JoAnn DeLuna is a bilingual journalist and poet. Her poetry has been published in anthologies in New York and Texas. She regularly performs her poetry in showcases combining multiple art forms throughout NYC, including Lincoln Center, Nuyorican Poets Café and The Bushwick Starr. She received her journalism master’s from City University in London, where she lived for three years before moving to New York City.
