N'Kaylah Simmons was born in Brooklyn and raised in the Bronx. She currently attends Hyde Leadership Charter School in her 10th grade year. She recently joined the Girls Write Now Community, this being her first year. N'kaylah considers herself a writer because of the emotion she puts behind her words. She enjoys writing poetry as an outlet for communication. Her favorite books are the Twilight Saga. She likes running long distance and has an 8 year old sister.

Jessica Deutsch graduated from Lafayette College in 2015 with a Psychology degree. During her time as a Lafayette Leopard, she was a division 1 field hockey player and a lead writer for The Lafayette- the oldest college newspaper in Pennsylvania. She currently works as a copywriter at Grey Group, an award-winning advertising agency. Jessica's favorite book is Gone With the Wind. She currently lives in Manhattan and wishes she had a dog.
