Marifer and Minsi

Marifer Santos is currently a junior attending Inwood Academy for Leadership. She was born in the Dominican Republic but grew up in uptown Manhattan. It is her first year as a mentee for Girls Write Now.
About m i n s i
Minsi Chung is a video producer and writer currently working for Goldman Sachs in New York City. After completing a Master’s of Arts in Business and Economics Journalism at the Columbia Graduate School of Journalism in 2013, she was a recipient of a New York Financial Writers’ Association scholarship and completed a Bloomberg News internship. Her articles have appeared in the New York Post, Lululemon Athletica blog, and Covering Business, and she has also worked as a freelance writer at Facebook.
Prior to moving to the United States, Minsi worked as an on-air television, radio, and online news journalist with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, where she was the state business reporter in Perth, specializing in mining and resources. Before becoming a journalist, Minsi was a qualified solicitor and barrister in Western Australia. She received a Bachelor of Laws from Murdoch University, and also holds a bachelor’s degree in mass communication (public relations).
It is Minsi’s first year as a mentor and she is proud to be part of the Girls Write Now community!
